Weekly & fortnightly pool servicing in Pakenham & Cardinia Shire.

1. Surface skim & baskets: leaf net the surface, empty skimmer and pump-pot baskets. Stops the leaf load decomposing in the water.
2. Brush walls + waterline: remove the calcium ring and any algae starting at the tile line. Critical — if it stains, it’s ten times harder to remove later.
3. Vacuum the floor: manual head, suction cleaner or drop-in robot — whichever your pool runs. We move furniture/toys if needed.
4. Photometer water test: pH, free chlorine, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, plus salt + stabiliser (CYA) every 4th visit. Photo of the result printed/emailed.
5. Chemical dose: from the van — acid, soda ash, cal-hypo, salt, stabiliser, conditioner. Whatever the test calls for, dosed at the safe rate.
6. Equipment check: pressure gauge, pump prime, chlorinator output dialled in for the season, heater on/off cycle, visible plumbing inspected for leaks.
7. Backwash / filter clean: when pressure indicates — usually every 4–6 weeks for cartridge, every 2–3 weeks for sand on a busy pool.

• Plunge / spa-only (under 5m): $70–$90 / visit
• Small family (6×3 fibreglass): $80–$100 / visit
• Standard family (8×4): $90–$120 / visit
• Large family (9–10m): $110–$140 / visit
• Entertainer / tiled (10m+): $130–$160 / visit

Weekly vs fortnightly — the honest answer.

For most Cardinia Shire pools, fortnightly all year with a step-up to weekly through Dec–Mar is the right cadence. That keeps chemistry inside spec through the hottest part of the year without paying for visits you don’t need in winter. Heated pools and plunge pools should run weekly all year — chemistry on a smaller / hotter pool moves too fast for fortnightly. If you’ve had a green pool recovery in the past 12 months, stay on weekly until you’ve been spotless through a full summer.

What’s NOT included.

• Heavy chemical shocks (green-pool recovery is quoted separately, $250–$600).
• Equipment parts — pump impellers, cartridges, salt cells, heater elements (quoted on need).
• Pool-fence inspection — we’re not registered inspectors; we’ll flag what we see and recommend a booking.
• Resurfacing, retiling, leak repair (we partner with specialists).

How booking works.

1. You call or submit the form. We talk through pool size, equipment, and how often you’d like us.
2. First visit is a full inspection + free water-test — we baseline chemistry and equipment condition, quote any one-off work needed.
3. If you’re happy, we lock in your fortnightly or weekly slot. Same tech every visit where possible.
4. You get a water-test result and any photos emailed within an hour of leaving. Invoice monthly.
