Two zones, two conversations.
Growth-corridor zone (Pakenham, Officer, Cardinia Lakes, Heritage Springs, Pakenham East): young families, mostly 7–8m fibreglass pools, salt chlorinated, on a fortnightly all-year plan with a summer step-up to weekly. $80–$120 per visit. The bulk of our work.
Established / acreage zone (Beaconsfield, Upper Beaconsfield, Guys Hill, Bunyip, Nar Nar Goon, Garfield): older tiled concrete shells, larger entertainer pools, often with heating. Bigger pools, tighter chemistry, $95–$160 per visit. Heater and tile-grout protection are the key extras.
What you’re legally on the hook for.
- Pool registration: every pool / spa in Cardinia Shire must be on the council pool register. Free, online, takes 10 minutes.
- Pool-fence inspection: required every 4 years to AS 1926.1 by a registered inspector. The owner is responsible for booking it.
- CPR sign: must be displayed in line of sight of the pool. We’ll mention it if we don’t see one.
- Non-compliance penalties: up to $1,800+ per breach. Council prosecutes — especially for unregistered pools at sale time.
